Brandie Zaspel is a junior at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design seeking a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration with a Teaching Artist minor. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and, despite moving around as a child, has always considered Minnesota to be her home. She loves working with children and seeing their creative minds come to life. Her teaching experience includes working with kindergarten and second grade art students as a teaching assistant for her high school art teacher. Although Brandie has always had a passion for teaching, this experience solidified that passion. Upon graduating from MCAD, Brandie is considering seeking her K-12 teaching license while working as a freelance illustrator. She has an interest in textile design, concept art, and writing and illustrating children's books.
