Professor and Teaching Artist Lynda Monick-Isenberg and MCAD Sculpture major and Teaching Artist minor share their work with PPS NEXT AVE with two creative aging communities at two CommonBond residences in Minneapolis, MN.
The Drawing Project's Teaching Artist Lynda Monick-Isenberg and MCAD Teaching Artist Intern Zachery North shared their experience teaching drawing to adults 65-90 with StoryCorp July 2018. Their story will be included in the Library of Congress.

All My Relations Arts (AMRA), and Native American Community Development Institute - NACDI is hosting an Indigenous Peoples' Day Festival to raise awareness, and provide education of Native American Arts.
Hours:
Saturday, October 6th: 11:00am - 7:30pm.
Sunday, October 7th: 12:00pm - 5:00pm.

The festival will take place on the American Indian Corridor on Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404.

She will be co-teaching at Robins Bay Primary School and community with Robert Teslow artist, President/Founder, DrawingConnections, Inc.. Congratulations Melodee!
The Belwin Conservancy Chose Teaching Artist Minor /Scultpure Major Tom Beirlien Drawing and Painting major Teaching Artist Minor Tanvi Kulkarni and MFA grad Zoe Cinel to create ephemeral art with the public at Belwin’s inaugural EcoArt Fest on May 19th, 2018 and Buffalo Release spring 2018.
The Drawing Project is pleased to announce that it has been included in an Aroha Seeding Vitality Minnesota 15 grant with CommonBond Senior Housing and Engage. The will be providing three scaffolded eight week courses to older adults at two CommonBond sites. MCAD teaching artist will be hired as assistants in the summer and fall programs.
The Drawing Project is co-directed by Lynda Monick-Isenberg and Shannon Brunette.

MCAD Teaching Artists and MPS Whittier International School. Spring 2017 Minneapolis College of Art and Design's Teaching Artist Minor began a partnership with Whittier International School with placements of MCAD Teaching Artist Minors in Practicum experience in our neighborhood school Whittier International School. We are grateful to Whittier Principal Norma Gibbs, Assistant Principal Trinity Rawand Whittier teachers for so graciously inviting us in and engaging our community with their so we all can learn 'in and through' the arts.

Professor Lynda Monick-Isenberg has presented the drawing workshop Drawing as Thinking to NAEA arts teachers conference in New York, Chicago and this March Seattle to over 400 art educators. See you there!
MCAD Artists and Simpson Housing. Located just a few blocks from the MCAD campus, Simpson Housing Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to housing, supporting, and advocating for people experiencing homelessness. In 2015, MCAD and Simpson began exploring the possibility of creating a collaborative project that would provide free arts programming to children transitioning out of homelessness.
The resulting pilot project funded by RBC Foundation - USA continues to run. MCAD teaching artist minors work with twelve to fifteen students who are enrolled in Simpson’s tutoring program to create original pieces of art using a variety of approaches and materials.
The Drawing Project @ Northern Spark. The Drawing Project TDP) worked with Northern Spark 2016 engaging participants in the visualization of climate change from personal perspectives and supported live drawing focused on climate change with artists Jade Townsend, faculty member Valerie Jenkins, Heather Peeples MCAD MFA '17, NY artist Rebecca Loyche, Cleo Malone MCAD '17, and Forrest Wasko MCAD '17 until day break. TDP created and run by MCAD's Professor Lynda Monick-Isenberg and Continuing Education Instructor Shannon Brunette.
