Week 13: date and hour
Monday, April 5th 2:00PM-2:30PM
Today was my final individual meeting with the illustrator and Chloe. The illustrator had to leave after half an hour. During this half hour we discussed the illustrators future plans for their space project and we went over the reference photo process they began. After going through the photos they had already taken, we together broke down what other reference photos they might need to take and what ideas they are trying to convey through this Spatial related body of work they were forming.
Thursday, April 8th 9:00AM-10:30AM
Today was my final meeting with MSS’s St.Paul location artist group. The artists were working on their individual projects and I could tell even over zoom that everybody’s energy was a bit low. Folks were tired and a bit anxious. For today’s session AJ took the laptop that I was being displayed on throughout the room to talk with each of the artists individually about how they were. At the end I also checked in with AJ about her take on my second lead lesson through the class. She told me she thought it was great the only thing that could’ve been improved was some of the logistics of how things worked on her side. I will deeply miss working with AJ, Ben and this Artist group. They were were all immensely inspirational.
Thursday, April 8th 12:00PM-1:00PM
During my last zoom meeting with Chloe’s Illustration group Chloe initiated the prompt for food illustration for potential food packaging. The illustrators were allowed to use any media that had on hand. To brainstorm ideas for what kinds of food everyone should be illustrating today, Chloe asked what everyone’s favorite foods are. The two foods everyone illustrated their own versions of today were pizza and cheesecake! We of course listened to Country Roads by John Denver to honor one of the illustrators wishes but we also listened to some of the music that Chloe liked which was classical, a nice change. Similar, to working with the AJ + Ben’s Artist group, I will deeply working with these Illustrators. So much talent among these folks. I will definitely keep an eye on the organization’s social medias and wesbite for updates from the artists. :)
