Clarissa Odin

Clarissa (Clare) Odin is a Master of Fine Arts Candidate at MCAD expecting graduation in 2019. Clare specializes in painting and drawing, specifically focusing on social narrative art and feminist portraiture.

In addition to her studio practice, Clare has a strong passion for teaching. She finds joy and inspiration in working with a variety of age groups and skill levels. Clare’s past teaching experiences include leading youth classes through the City of Woodbury’s Art in the Park and Puppet Wagon programs, interning with the art department at East Ridge high school, and instructing adult group painting classes at Cheers Pablo. Clare has recently been involved in Artistry’s visual arts education, designing and instructing classes for community outreach programs and Artistry’s onsite programs at Bloomington Center for the Arts.

Clare sees art-making as an essential form of expression, enabling individuals to generate dialogue and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and one another.
