AP: Today was day 3 of critique for their projects. The students brought in everything they’ve been working on for the course of the quarter. Hearing the students talk about their work and the progression of their ideas is really engaging. After critique, Kathryn and I talked about how to approach critique from the perspective of a teacher. I was definitely engaging in critique as a student and really appreciated the redirection. We talked about some useful strategies going forward in critique.
Drawing to Painting: Part of the class has been working on creating paintings based off of collages the students made keeping color schemes in mind. The other part has been finishing their oil and acrylic portrait paintings. I checked in with students and talked to Kathryn about the sketchbook assignment the students had just turned in.
