Hillary Shepard
Hillary Shepard is a Brooklyn born Minneapolis based artist, pursuing her BFA in Sculpture. She believes having the tools to create is an essential part of developing the confidence that benefits every part of a person’s life. Her practice revolves around large scale sculpture, in wood, fiber, and casting.
She has worked as a Teaching Assistant for drawing at the Minneapolis College of Art and Designs Pre-College program. Additionally, she has gained experience going to an arts intensive high school in New York, where she clearly experienced the different approaches of teaching that were beneficial to people learning and working through the arts.
She is eager help people develop the tools for creative problem solving across disciplines, and building alternative avenues of expression.
