Josephine Hoffman

Josie is a fine artist who works in a variety of forms of dance, sculpture, media, drawing, installation and performance art. Her work is drawn by movement, that weaves through reflections of environment, body politics, family and cultural history.

Josie has taught figure skating to children and currently teaches aerial dance, yoga and fitness to teens and adults. She has worked on a drawing class with the Native Youth Arts Collective at Little Earth in Minneapolis, and a Native Pottery class and Ribbon Skirt making class at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo.

Josie believes creativity and expression are necessary for individuals and communities to flourish. Teaching allows Josie to share a tool kit people can use for cultivating their work.
