Kayla Egle is a Senior at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, working toward her BFA degree in Illustration. She has experience working at Bloomington Art Center as a teaching assistant for children in 2nd-9th grade. Her duties included supporting the lead teacher and working one-on-one with students. Kayla has also taught library outreach classes to students of all ages. Kayla specialized in watercolor and digital work, often featuring a whimsical and imaginative style. Kayla also works with different textures so effectively that viewers often mistake her digital works for handmade pieces. Her work is reminiscent of childrens' book illustrations, and her drawing style, characters, and choice of colors have a feeling of lightheartedness. She is skilled in manyareas, including posters and editorial work and she especially likes drawing things related to nature, childhood, and fantasy.
