I was born in California and moved to Willmar a small town in Central Minnesota. Currently I live in St. Paul where  I will receive my BFA in Photography and minor as a Teaching Artist at Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2017. I have worked as an Artist Mentor for Art-ASAP The Art Bus, a nonprofit arts organization and as a MCAD Teaching Artist at St. Paul Expo Elementary School and Minneapolis Clara Barton Open School, where I taught art concepts and techniques through art infused lessons. I am extremely passionate about using art to connect with others and I believe that the today’s youth need focused interests and that the arts are a constructive creative outlet that takes them out of their social norms. By encouraging and assisting our young people to develop an art practice they are empowered to express themselves in innovative and creative ways and become successful in society.

I am very open when it comes to what type of art I make and believe I bring a lot to the interdisciplinary arts. I specialize in photography but am knowledgeable in diverse disciplines and techniques including: drawing, animation, book making, sculpture, installations, and media arts. When I am doing arts infused lessons I bring in a wide range of techniques to get the children learning in different ways. I really enjoy being a mentor to children I believe that every child learns differently. Which means there should be a different approach taken to make sure each child is hitting their goals and feeling confident in them.
