Molly Hoghaug
Molly Hoghaug is a 3D Animation major with a Teaching Artist minor. Within the 3D major she emphasizes in special effects and creature creation. In high school she took many teaching classes that required her to travel to different elementary school and teach the students art projects that would drive home the lessons the art teachers taught.
Taking inspiration from reality, fantasies, urban legends, and dinosaurs she creates creatures. She believes that creature creation is a waltz between reality and fantasy.
Molly does special effects in her animation so that she can make fantasy reality by placing the creatures in a real place making the life she gives feel real and emotional. She believes art is life and strives to create a sense of life in her works.
In her spare time, Molly runs a handmade jewelry business and sells it throughout Minnesota. Her jewelry techniques consists of wire wrapping, metal working, beading, and wax carving for ring molds.
Molly loves to create things that have to do with life and the beauty of it.
