Abbey Edmonds is a senior at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, pursuing a BFA in painting and drawing with the Teaching Artist minor. Her paintings and drawings are mostly figurative while taking on a cinematic appeal. Her interest in film inspires composition and lighting in her work. She is versed in many mediums but finds that painting is a wonderful tool to teach others important technical and critical skills. 

Coming from a rural background, Abbey’s goal is to make art education more saturated in inaccessible areas and lesser approached age groups. She enjoys working with a wide demographic but is especially surprised with what art can do for older populations.
