Casey Grengs

Casey Grengs is a sophomore at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, working toward a BFA in Drawing and Painting and minors in Teaching Artist and Art History. Exploring collage and whimsical color palettes, Grengs shares her love for her hometown and current city, Minneapolis, Minnesota, through her paintings.

While interning with Upstream Arts as a Teaching Artist Assistant during the summer of 2019, Grengs learned the beauty of building student-teacher relationships. She assisted teaching in the Friday morning EPIC classes that taught adults with disabilities social skills through multiple art forms ranging from dance, music, acting and painting. For future teaching opportunities, Grengs hopes to offer a safe space and creative milieu for her students to explore taking risks in their artistic disciplines.
