Nicole Stiegart

Nicole Stiegart is a Junior at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, pursuing a BFA in Drawing and Painting. Her practice revolves heavily around the figure and color theory, and a desire to incorporate the versatility of painting into her teaching practice. She has experience working with the 4H Visual Arts section teaching children and her peers through creative competitions and activities.

Coming from a rural background, her goal is to open art education to children and adults who previously thought it an inaccessible field. People coming from this background often are not exposed to art, and if they are, often believe it is not worth pursuing due to their demographic.

Nicole’s goal is to educate people of the importance of art and the idea that it is a viable career or pursuit regardless of area.
