Rachel Buccilli

Rachel Buccilli is a sophomore at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, working toward a BFA in illustration and a minor in teaching artist. She has always enjoyed working with and teaching young kids, and has experience working with children ages 3-12 in things such as summer camp and martial arts training. She enjoys working with young kids because they are at the prime age of learning about themselves, figuring out the way the world works and what they like to do. She thinks that this is the perfect time to motivate them to have a creative and original mindset, as well as encourage outside-the-box thinking. She also likes how young kids (3-6) have had no filter installed yet and say the goofiest things, and are positive, fun little balls of energy. She hopes that as a teacher, she would be able to help them keep that pure, life-loving quality.
