Currently a student at Minneapolis College of Art and Design Sally is pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting with a minor in Teaching Artists. Originally from Palmer Alaska, she is a painter who specializes in plein air and portraiture. Attempting to capture the world around in the present, while valuing the process and experience. Before coming to MCAD, Sally worked at the Mat-Su Central school’s library where she taught battle of the books, tinker time, and children's activities. A volunteer at the non profit International Gallery of Contemporary Art helping artists exhibit, install, and spread art through the community. Sally is striving to gather a career in teaching primarily in painting in oils specifically in a non-profit arts organization, or museum teaching from ages nine to ninety-nine.
