I am planning on doing a community project with my family as an activity to do during the quarantine. We all are home with time and learning to accept the current situation with the virus. I found this period as an opportunity to call and get connected with people that I usually do not take initiative to talk to. I am a bit introvert especially when it comes to calling or talking to someone. I am still learning to start the conversation and to keep it going. I also like to see the face and body language of the person to talk to them. So, it is hard for me to call or talk to someone on call.
This week, I pushed myself and send messages to some family members. Knowing that they are worried about me and proud of me for being able to get through this virus situation alone gave me confidence. I asked them to call me even ever they are free and I would love to talk with them. Of course, I put them on the stop by asking them to call me. But this also steps for me. I think baby steps help. I got calls from my couple of family members. I am going to practice this calling project throughout my quarantine. Hopefully soon, I can just pick the phone and call someone in the family and talk to them for hours as I talk to my parents or with close friends.
I am also thinking of doing an online painting workshop and signing a workshop with family. Be safe and healthy!
