Anthony (Tony) Aanerud is currently working to receive a BFA in Animation as a sophomore student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Tony has lived in Minnesota all of his life; he was born in Princeton, MN, grew up in Big Lake, MN, and is now living in Minneapolis to pursue a career in the animation industry.

Tony’s interest in art  revolves around the psychological aspects of humanity, displaying a variety of emotions, ambitions, identities, cultures, and relationships in the characters he features in his animated movies and digital paintings. In Tony’s perspective, art is one of the strongest ways for an individual to soothe their mind and express themselves to the world. Tony hopes to work with students of all ages and ethnicities to inspire a fun, meditative, and scholarly setting in K-12 art education.
