Community of Peace Academy, Teacher Ms. Lor, High School, 5 hours.

Minnesota Museum of American Art, 1 Hours.

This week was great! I had a meeting with Nancy, another worker for MMAA. We met and discussed for my final project which is teaching. But this teaching will be different from teaching a class, instead I am going to do a small project that they can do because people are just coming in and it should be at least 10-minute project. I want the project to be related to the theme of the event they are having on Family Day. I have until April 1, 2019 to have some ideas to present to Nancy.  Which I am planning to have the ideas to be related to the theme for family day.

For CPA, I taught! I was the teacher for a day! But I still have to teach two more days! The first day I taught the overall project and the students did their thumbnails and got feedback. They also started to do their final sketch on their final paper. I was very nervous to present or if something wasn’t going to go well but it all worked out! I really enjoyed teaching high schoolers and the students were very respectful and did a very good job! I reviewed my recording and I notice things that I can do better, especially when I am presenting the PowerPoint. I also got feedback from the teacher, Ms. Lor. Which wasn’t a lot but two things. I was very happy because I thought I did a bad job but it turned out great! She also helped me pass out paper and she let me take over the class. The only time she needed to step in is when a student wasn’t doing their job or not being respectful.  But overall it was great! Some students were so into the project while some had trouble and I guide them on what they could had more. Down Below I have one students example of their thumbnail and final sketch!

Final Sketch

Here, the student did the final sketch on their final paper. Before they could do their final sketch, they got feedback from their table and they had to decide if they wanted to change anything or not.
