I am currently working on my senior project which is coming up in 3 months. I feel it is a very short time for creating a body of work that I am satisfied with. But I am giving my best to stay positive and enjoying the process of creating art.

I intend to work in a series of 3 artworks, which are 5 feet by 3 feet. The rectangular shape for the landscape format. The medium is oil paint-  yellow, red and blueish grey. Oil paint is the traditional medium used for landscapes. Oil paint also takes time to dry out fully which represents the intensity of missing the place overtime changes. The yellow and orange colors in the painting are evocative of Haldi and Kumkum, Indian symbols of the cherishing of good things in life and, therefore, in the painting are representative of the good memories that I had in my hometown-Badlapur, India.

My goal for the senior project is to create body of the work which would represent the idea of losing the memory of Badlapur. I want the viewer to feel lonely  and  strange in the place. I am planning to create a number of artworks and might show only one piece at the end. I am not hoping to have end results as the final artwork for the Badlapur theme but to have artwork that successfully coveys the subject matter.
